Digital File Preservation

The Revista Colincing de Estudios Multidisciplinarios is part of the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) project, whose purpose is to ensure the digital preservation of OJS journals. Through the LOCKSS program, a decentralized and distributed safeguarding system is implemented, which allows continuous, uninterrupted access and the preservation of the original and complete version of the content. This mechanism is especially useful for journals that are not integrated into other digital preservation services, such as CLOCKSS or Portico.

This journal develops various processes aimed at ensuring the permanent accessibility of the digital objects hosted on its own servers:

• Backups.
• Monitoring of the technological environment to anticipate possible format or outdated software migrations.
• Digital preservation metadata.
• Use of DOI (Digital Object Identifier).

The files published on this website are available in easily reproducible formats (PDF, HTML).

The digital preservation policy of the Revista Colincing de Estudios Multidisciplinarios is reviewed periodically.
